I decided to join Yankee over 10 years ago. My fiancée had just moved out so my best friend, Scott Brown (who was one of the first Yankee members), dragged me there to get in shape.

My favorite thing about Yankee is the community. I’ve made many great friends that I now call family. Brendan’s kids call me uncle Chrisfit. Yankee is more than just a gym to me.

I’ve had 3 back surgeries, 1 knee surgery, and a torn labrum over the last 9 years. I’m 43 years old and in the best shape of my life. I may not be able to do muscle ups, deadlifts, pull ups, handstands, or a lot of other cool things at the gym, but that doesn’t matter to me. My only goal these days is continued fitness. The most important thing for me is that I get to the gym, complete my workout the best I can and live to fight another day.

Anyone who goes to Yankee knows this, but if you’re thinking about it, just remember that fitness is different for everyone. Yankee is a great place to find fitness that suits YOU! It’s also a great place to feel at home with friends while you bust your ass during a salty EMOM!

If I can trust Coach BAM and his superior coaching staff with my fitness, than anyone can, they are all true professionals!
